3 skeins of Pomegranate, Deconstructed. When it's gone, it's gone.
Three matched skeins of Sundara's High Twist Sock in Pomegranate, Deconstructed — a deep wine and brick-red tonal that breaks open across the skein into bright pomegranate-arils, soft rose, and the occasional flicker of magenta where the dye pooled. Reads almost solid in the hand and lights up in motion. All three skeins are from the same dye lot — that's 1,179 yards total, a real sweater quantity from a hand-dyer whose colours don't repeat. The original Sundara hand-painted hangtag and the maker's hand-written base tag are intact and ship with the lot.
This listing is for 1 skein of Sundara Yarn High Twist Sock in Pomegranate Deconstructed. Three matched-dye-lot skeins are available — buy one, two, or all three to build a fingering-gauge sweater quantity. Once the three are gone, the colourway is gone.
About the yarn:
Sundara's High Twist Sock is an 85% high-twist superwash merino / 15% nylon fingering base, 393 yards in a 100 g skein, with a tight, round, hard-wearing twist that takes saturated hand-paint dyework without going muddy in the knit fabric. The high-twist construction gives crisp stitch definition — good for cables, travelling-stitch work, and ribbed sock cuffs — and the nylon means the yarn will wear hard in a heel or a heavily-worn sweater. Gauge sits at 7 sts/inch on US 3 (3.25 mm). Hand-wash in tepid water per Sundara's tag; lay flat to dry. Alternate skeins through your project for even colour — this is hand-dye, and every skein in a tonal lot finishes the project differently if you knit one skein at a time.

About Sundara Yarn:
Sundara Mahlstadt has been hand-dyeing yarn out of Madison, Wisconsin for nearly two decades. The studio is known for moody, layered colourways — names like In the Still of the Night, Petrichor, Black Roses, Pomegranate Deconstructed — and a small set of in-house bases milled to Sundara's own specifications. The shop is still active in 2026: sundarayarn.com is live, and Sundara still releases small-batch yarn through her long-running Daily Dreams email list, one colour at a time, typically gone within hours of going up.
Sundara works in small batches: each colourway is hand-mixed and dyed in person, and the colour you receive is the colour that came off Sundara's hands that day. There is no factory between the dyer and the skein, and no two dye days are identical — slight tonal shifts between releases are part of the signature. The hand-written specs on a small card, the hand-painted hangtag — that's the classic Sundara presentation that has shipped on her bases for years. Three matched skeins in a single Sundara colourway is unusual; most resellers see one skein at a time, and a real sweater quantity from this dyer is the kind of lot that doesn't reappear.
