Sundara Yarn Fingering Merino — Hand-Dyed 492 yards

Six colourways of Sundara Yarn’s Fingering Merino base — the long-yardage cousin of her better-known Sock yarn. Same 100% superwash merino, dyed in small lots, but with 492 yards on 100 g instead of 350. That extra yardage opens up garment-scale projects from a single skein: a fingering-weight cardigan front, a long flowing shawl, a colour-blocked yoke.

The six colourways in this listing

• Breaking Dawn — clear soft pink, the colour of the sky two minutes before the sun comes up. Half-tonal with a few warmer salmon breaks.
• Grand Canal of Venice — slate blue washed with deeper blue-purple, the colour of canal water in late afternoon. Reads as a dusty denim from a distance, painterly up close.
• Icicles — palest mint-grey with cool sage shadows. Almost a white from across a room; the dye is delicate, layered on very softly.
• Fields of Provence — pale celadon green over the same cool-mint base as Icicles, with faint blue-grey shadow. Reads as a green-grey-mint sea.
• Moonlit Bamboo — mossy mid-green with deeper forest shadows, dyed to look like bamboo lit from one side. Saturated enough to wear as a solid.
• Bamboo Grove — deep forest green with brighter leaf-green high points and near-black shadow. The most saturated skein in the lot; reads as a true botanical green.

Base. Sundara Fingering Merino — 100% superwash merino, 492 yards / 100 g per skein. 7–9 stitches per inch on US 0–2 (2–2.75 mm). Hand or machine-wash, delicate cycle, cool water.

Lovely for. A long shawl or sampler scarf from a single skein. Fingering-weight cardigan sleeves or yoke colour-blocks (the long yardage means fewer joins). A pair of long-leg socks with yardage to spare. Two skeins held together = light DK / sport for texture-heavy garments.

Condition. All six skeins new, each with the original Sundara “fingering merino” hand-tag
