Wollmeise Sockenwolle Superwash is Claudia Burkhardt's machine-washable sock base — 100% Schurwolle (virgin wool) superwash, 574 yd / 525 m in a 150 g skein, plied for hard wear without losing the depth-of-dye Wollmeise is collected for. Gauge sits at 7–8 sts/inch on US 1–2.5 (2.25–3.0 mm). *Red hot Chili* is a long-color-run gradient — oxblood, brick, coral, and bright orange in sections that play out across a long span of the skein rather than repeating every few yards, which gives a striking unbroken colour fade in a worked-up shawl or pair of socks. The Sockenwolle base is rated for the machine wool cycle (still cool water, still flat-dry) — handy for actual sock wear without losing the kettle-dyed depth.
