Fisher Fibers — Plant-Dyed Wool Trio: Eucalyptus, Chamomile & Coreopsis (Lot of 3 Skeins, ~480 yds / 10.5 oz)
Stock
On the shelf
1 skein of Plant-dyed trio — eucalyptus pale yellow, chamomile olive-gold, coreopsis warm caramel. When it's gone, it's gone.
A complete plant-dyed yellow gradient in three small-batch skeins from Fisher Fibers — sold together as a single lot. Three different dye plants, three different shades, three skeins of natural-fibre wool hand-tagged by the maker. The kraft hang-tags are part of the package: they document the dye plant and the weight class in the maker's own hand.
This listing is for the full trio:
- Eucalyptus — chunky wool: soft buttery yellow with the faintest green-gold undertone (~180 yards / 100 g)
- Dyer's chamomile — worsted wool: quiet olive-gold, soft khaki with a green undertone that pulls toward mustard in warm light and sage-grey in cool light (~150 yards / 100 g)
- Dyer's coreopsis — worsted wool: warm caramel / brassy gold tonal, the deepest and most saturated of the three (~150 yards / 100 g, yardage estimated)

About this lot. Plant dyes never sit flat on wool the way acid dyes do — you can see the depth shift skein-to-skein along each strand, and that variation is the whole point. Eucalyptus, chamomile, and coreopsis are the workhorse plants of the European and Australian dye garden; together they let a maker walk a piece of wool through pale honey, olive-khaki, and warm caramel without ever opening a synthetic dye jar. Held side by side, the three skeins read as one naturally-dyed yellow gradient: pale on the left, green-gold in the centre, brassy on the right. Use them as a small colourwork palette — striped accessory, three-colour hat, mini gradient cowl — or break the trio up into one-skein projects sharing a vocabulary.
About the maker. Fisher Fibers is the kraft-tagged mark of a small-batch hand-dyer working in natural dyes; we don't have a public shop link for the maker. The label on each skein names the dye plant in the maker's own hand — which is honestly the right way to sell a plant-dyed yarn. If you recognise the work and want us to credit the maker properly, let us know and we'll update the listing.
