A two-skein matched mini-set from The Yarn Badger: the *Turnips and Tealights* colourway from Batch 1 — pumpkin-orange, old-gold, plum-purple, antique-green, and dusty-red running together along the strand. Reads autumn-on-a-table: warm, complex, the kind of multi that looks busy across the room and resolves into a quiet palette up close. Both skeins are identical paired minis (2 × 50 g / 220 yards total).
This listing is for 2 skeins of The Yarn Badger Sock in color Turnips and Tealights.
About the yarn:
The base is a 75% superwash merino / 25% nylon fingering-weight sock yarn, 4-plied round, painted in The Yarn Badger's full studio palette. Two matched 50 g minis is the right shape for a pair of fingering-weight mitts or fingerless gloves where the colour runs all the way through, the heel/cuff/toe contrast on a pair of socks, a small shawlette held with a solid, or a yoke colourwork yardage where the two minis become the painted band. The yarn holds up to the washing machine (wool cycle), blocks open with a small bloom from the nylon, and reads warm-toned in any light because the dye palette favours the autumnal end.

About The Yarn Badger Sock:
The Yarn Badger is an active indie dyer with a distinctive visual identity — the studio's bands are printed with a hand-drawn badger illustration that has become a small collector's mark in resale photos. The studio specialises in fingering-weight sock yarns on a 75/25 superwash merino/nylon base and releases colourways in numbered small batches.
*Turnips and Tealights* is from Batch 1 of that colourway. The matched pair came packaged as a deliberate mini-set rather than two separate skeins — meant to be used together as a coordinated pair. Both skeins are in original twist with bands intact.
