Blue Heron Yarns was founded on Maryland’s Eastern Shore in 1995 by Demian Savits and his mother Barbara Stone — three decades of small-batch, hand-painted yarn for knitters, crocheters, and weavers. The studio worked out of Easton, Maryland, and built a quiet cult following on the painterly, multi-tonal colourways that pool and blend like watercolour rather than fight you on the needle.
