Three handspun skeins from a single spinner's stash, each on a hand-written paper tag marked "Art Yarn" with the yardage in pencil. A confetti-flecked rainbow noil, a chunky natural cream four-ply, and a quiet oatmeal tweed shot through with fine gold. Sold together as one lot of three skeins.

What's in the lot.

• Confetti Art Yarn — 94 yards. A cream base spun thick-and-thin and shot through with rainbow noils — orange, coral, blue, green, and pale gold flecks pulled into the ply as the spinner worked. The kind of skein that reads as one colour at a distance and as a confetti texture in the hand.
• Natural Cream Wool — 77 yards. An undyed cream wool four-ply, the heaviest spin of the three. Hand-tag reads "wool 4 ply 77 yds" in pencil. Chunky, lofty, with the soft halo a well-rested wool single carries through a four-ply.
• Oatmeal Tweed — 55¼ yards. A pale beige tweed with a faint warm-gold shimmer worked in — quieter than the other two, and a natural bridge between the confetti and the cream when the three are knit in sequence.

About the spinner. Anonymous handspinner. Each skein is a single spin, hand-tied, with the original pen-on-paper hangtag still attached (visible in the close-ups). None of these will be repeated — the fibre is gone.
