Blue Heron Yarns Mohair — Whiskers 4 oz / 245 yd, Worsted Halo

On the shelf
2 skeins of Whiskers — smoke grey-blue with cream and steel highlights. When it's gone, it's gone.
A soft, smoke-and-cornflower halo of Blue Heron Yarns Mohair in Whiskers — the painterly grey-blue colourway, brushed to a full mohair halo with cream and steel-blue glints running through the strand. Worsted-weight mohair like this is its own thing: substantial on the needle, glowing under lamp light, and dense without being heavy once it blooms in the wash. It knits up the way a winter sky looks at five o’clock.
This listing is for one full skein. We have two skeins of Whiskers in stock; buy one or both. Each skein is 4 oz / 245 yards per the handwritten band.

About Blue Heron Yarns. Blue Heron Yarns was founded on Maryland’s Eastern Shore in 1995 by Demian Savits and his mother Barbara Stone — three decades of small-batch, hand-painted yarn for knitters, crocheters, and weavers. The studio worked out of Easton, Maryland, and built a quiet cult following on the painterly, multi-tonal colourways that pool and blend like watercolour rather than fight you on the needle. The shop has now closed. These skeins came out of the physical store on its way out — not destash, not a secondary market — the last of this base in this colourway, full stop.
