About the yarn:

Ensemble Light is ArtYarns' signature silk-and-cashmere two-ply — 50% Japanese silk / 50% Italian cashmere, 400 yd per 80 g skein. One strand of fine silk loosely plied with one strand of cashmere, hand-painted at the studio in New York. The silk gives the colour an inner shine and the cashmere gives it the soft, weightless hand that makes it a forever-favourite for cowls, shawls and anything worn against the neck. Both skeins are a matched pair from the same dye lot.
